Beautiful collection of 3 vintage silk cards from France (1900s)
They are made of embossed silk and paper. Each one has a lovely hand colored garland with lilies, canine roses and forgetmenots and lilacs.

Material: paper, embossed silk
Size: postcard (about 9×14 cm)
Color: soft grey and white satin background. Soft green, blue, rose and lila for the flowers.
Condition: Good antique condition but all them are used. These are original silk embossed hand colored ephemeras dated on 1900s.
Description: Original Art Nouveau French collage cards. The embossed bouquets ares hand painted in shades over white satin and soft grey paper.

Woodblock prints were very popular in Japan in 19th Century. Flowers, insects and birds were extremelly popular. On those times, many European artist discovered Asiatic Art as an important inspiration: that’s how Orientalism become so popular in France on 1880-1910. You can find oriental style touches in many Art Nouveau objets, just like in these antique cards.
